EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The GDPR will be enforced from 25 May 2018 and you MUST be compliant by then or pay the consequences!

The GDPR has been introduced to keep pace with the modern digital landscape and is more extensive in scope and application than the current Data Protection Act (DPA).

The Regulation extends the data rights of individuals, and requires organisations to develop clear policies and procedures to protect personal data, and adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures.

So what does this mean for you?
In short, failure to comply with the new GDPR regulations will attract a fine of up to 4% or your annual turnover! We’re taking GDPR very seriously indeed - as should you, as it seems pretty clear that there will be a strict enforcement of this policy.

What next?
All DealerWebs customer websites and data management will be fully compliant with the new GDPR regulations in time for the enforcement date. Whilst DealerWebs will ensure your website and associated data is fully compliant with the GDPR, it's vitally important that your business is compliant across the board. Full details on GDPR are available on the ICO website.
